Lee’s Certification Descriptions

CBI – Certified Business Intermediary
The CBI designation demonstrates a superior knowledge of the business brokerage profession. It requires the completion of a rigorous, dedicated formal study of the ins, outs and challenges of business brokerage and finishes with the IBBA (International Business Brokerage Association) certification exam. The designation is sanctioned by the IBBA and takes more than three years to achieve. There are currently only five hundred and fifty CBI’s worldwide.

CMEA ‐ Certified Machinery & Equipment Appraiser
The Certified Machinery & Equipment Appraiser designation is managed by the National Equipment & Business Brokers Institute. The SMEA requires a formal course of study, passing the certification exam and peer appraisal review.
As a CMEA certified appraiser, Mr. Huff can offer you more than an “educated guess” on the value of your equipment and machinery. He is a trained professional who knows how to access the true value of your business assets.

SBA/MEA ‐ Senior Business Analyst/Machinery & Equipment Analyst

Gary Burden
Personal Experience
While working as a Certified Financial Planner, Gary realized that the success of America lies in the innovation and spirit of its small business owners. Gary found that the Certified Financial Professional course work was not enough to adequately address the multi-dimensional complexity of his client’s most important asset: their small business.
Gary’s willingness to dig into the details of his client’s small businesses resulted in numerous project engagements. In one case, his questions led to a five year complex project that culminated in the sale of a large parcel of land and provided tremendous peace of mind for his multi-generation clients. His efforts to serve business owners resulted in the sale of nine small businesses over a short period of time. In late 2014, Lee invited Gary to join him in order to combine both age and wisdom with energy and innovation. (We’ll let you decide which one is which…)
Gary is a native of Ohio. He served as the Treasurer for the West Point Society of Northern Ohio for more than fifteen years.
